Overview

My OIS is the online service center for requests submitted by or for international students, scholars, and employees at the University of Pittsburgh. This includes requests submitted by department administrators. In order to best help you navigate My OIS, we have created tutorials to highlight some of its features and uses.

How to Access

From any OIS webpage, scroll to the bottom and select “Submit a Request.” Once you have reached the log-in page for My OIS, please follow the appropriate steps below.

Current International Students, Scholars, and Employees

  • Select the blue Log-In button
  • Enter your Pitt username and password. If you do not have a Pitt username and email as an international scholar or employee currently working with a Pitt department, please contact your department administrator to receive one.
  • The first time you enter My OIS, you will need your “University ID#” this is either your Peoplesoft number or a TEMP# you have already received. If you are not sure what your # is, please email OIS@pitt.edu and we will provide it to you.

Graduated Students on Optional Practical Training (OPT) or Academic Training (AT)

  • Select Limited Services
  • The first time, click the “Email me a Limited Access Pin” link. This will email you the pin # you need to acess Limited Services. The system will only email the addresses OIS has in your record, if you have changed email addresses, you will need to email OIS@pitt.edu to update our records.
  • Enter your “University ID” (your Peoplesoft number), date of birth, and Limited Access Pin.  (If you do not remember your Peoplesoft number, please email OIS@pitt.edu to assist you.)

Future International Students WITH a Pitt Email Account and Password

  • Select the blue Log-In button
  • Enter your Pitt username and password. If you do not have a Pitt username and email as an international student, please read the directions below.
  • The first time you enter My OIS, you will need your “University ID#” this is either your Peoplesoft number or a TEMP# you have already received. If you are not sure what your # is, please email OIS@pitt.edu to assist you.

Future Scholars and Future Students WITHOUT a Pitt Email Address and Password

  • Select Limited Services
  • The first time, click the “E-mail me a Limited Access Pin” link. This will email you the pin # you need to acess Limited Services. The system will only email the addresses OIS has in your record, if you have changed email addresses, you will need to email OIS@pitt.edu to update our records.
  • Enter your “University ID” (your Peoplesoft or TEMP number), date of birth, and Limited Access Pin.  (If you do not know your Peoplesoft/TEMP number, please email OIS@pitt.edu to assist you.)

Department Administrators

  • Select the bottom link “Administrative Services for University Departments”
  • Enter your Pitt username and password.
